What is the best diet in healing by force of nature?

For the sake of precision, I should say: what I gave up ultimately for some time as a result of the insight from being present, which significantly  accelerated the healing process.


For a few months, I gave up:

  1. Anything containing sugar and any other sweeteners, including honey - sweets, sweetened drinks, etc.

  2. Fruit juices and very sweet fruits.

  3. Any cereals and grain products - bread, rolls, pastry, pasta and anything containing flour (including gluten-free one) or grains - regardless of the fineness degree (also whole grains).

  4. Coffee, tea and any "stimulating" drinks.

  5. Alcohol.

  6. Dairy products, except chicken eggs.

  7. Any "starchy" type vegetables - potatoes, legumes, corn.

  8. Canned food, pickles and anything raw, cold and strongly acidic.

  9. Nuts of all kind.


I significantly reduced the amount of:

Carrots, pumpkins, sweet potatoes, tomatoes as the body in the low energy condition doesn't handle them the best. 


Everything I ate was warm, well seasoned and mostly stewed.

I limited food consumed across the day to 'the hand' proportion:

  1. A flat hand - the amount of protein (eggs, meat - including fish)

  2. A fist - the number of vegetables from the "allowed" list at that time.

  3. A thumb - the amount of fat used to prepare the dish.


Life-giving broths

When recovering from the state of profound energy collapse, especially in chronic, long-term disease, the body needs an easily digestible "injection" of concentrated energy that will give it the strength to bring order. The old saying: "a good broth will resurrect the dead," carries the truth about its power. In my treatment, I use broths, which are mostly from beef and lamb, sometimes turkey. I had 1-2 cups a day, between solid meals.


Why did I give up coffee?

I gave up my habit of drinking coffee to wake me up with fatigue and sleepiness. Less stimulation of the nervous system, which is too stimulated by unreacted cumulative stress, helps to "digest" excess tissue in the sinuses and wherever it has been deposited due to blockages in energy flow. A healthy body itself produces energy to function without the aid of stimulants. If he is lethargic, forcing him to act with coffee has a short effect at a very high price.


After a few weeks of break, I went back to drinking coffee, but this time only for pleasure to enjoy its flavor and aroma.


5 elements cuisine 

In principle, everything that I cook, I season according to the 5 elements cuisine. I learned to cook like this many years ago, and it has become my second nature. In practice, this means that I pick up ingredients and season so that five basic flavors are represented in what I cook - bitter, sweet (but not from sugar), hot, salty and sour in balanced (i.e., they must taste good) proportions.

Intermittent fasting allows the body to self-regulate and rest (8/16)

I discovered the benefits of intermittent fasting - giving up eating and drinking only water. It means that I kept my period of eating within  approximately eight hours across 24 hours (which means I didn't eat for 16 hours across a day). And I didn't feel hungry at all. I felt light during them, and my body had the opportunity to take a break from digestion and focus on its internal processes.

I started treating food not as a relief and filler of the emotional void but as a delicious and life-giving 'fuel'

Until now, food quality was not as important as its quantity and flavor, not necessarily due to high quality. Such food brought relief for a short time and even more health problems in the long run. After gaining insight, I realized that I had assigned food a function which it does not and should not serve. From then on, I started to treat it as "fuel" and choose the products that feed me in every respect - also aesthetically, and its consumption brings pleasure, but not as a substitute for solving problems and the stress ease.
